Novak Djokovic cruises into the fourth round

Novak Djokovic continued his serene progress at the French Open on Saturday.

The world number one has lost just 15 games in the first three rounds after dispatching Daniel Elahi Galan 6-0 6-3 6-2. Seventh seed Matteo Berrettini is out, though, after losing to qualifier Daniel Altmaier.

In the women’s draw, Sofia Kenin dropped just two games against Irina Bara while Petra Kvitova staged an impressive first-set recovery to beat teenager Leylah Fernandez 7-5 6-3.

Why I’m Buying Cruise Stocks And Luckin Coffee

The following is excerpted from an article that originally appeared on CapitalWatch

Most of us know the story of Luckin Coffee (Pink: LKNCY). In a nutshell, the company was supposed to be the “Starbucks of China” giving the American coffee giant a run for its money on the Mainland. The Beijing-based company launched in 2017 and quickly grew its stores and pick-up locations to rival Starbucks Corporation (NASDAQ: SBUX) in China. The stock exploded in popularity. And then, it just exploded.

First, reports emerged in January that Luckin had fabricated its financial data, an allegation which the company, of course, denied. Then regulators launched a probe into Luckin in April and found that the company violated Chinese competition laws by inflating its operational data with false statistics to “deceive and mislead the public.”

Regulators also discovered that Luckin falsely increased its 2019 profit margin

About half the country is on Pa.’s quarantine list. So where is deemed safer to travel?

In the early weeks and months of the coronavirus pandemic, the Pennsylvania Department of Health — along with departments in many other states — began a list of states that, if you travel to them, the department recommends quarantining for 14 days upon return.

Updated every week, Pennsylvania’s list has added and dropped states as the status of the coronavirus fluctuates across the country. As of Friday, 23 states are on the quarantine list — the changes from last week include removing Georgia from the list (maybe go check out the World of Coca-Cola) and adding Minnesota, Montana, Nevada and Wyoming (no Yellowstone camping trips, unfortunately).

So, if you want to fit in some last minute traveling before the winter, which states aren’t on the list?

  • Arizona
  • California
  • Colorado
  • Connecticut
  • Delaware
  • Georgia
  • Hawaii

NFL Week 4: A Statement Game for Drew Brees and the Saints

Update: On Saturday morning, after this article’s publication, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Patriots quarterback Cam Newton has tested positive for the coronavirus and would self-quarantine, and a subsequent league statement announced positive tests for players on both the Patriots and the Chiefs. The NFL has postponed the Patriots game against the Chiefs in Kansas City on Sunday; the league will attempt to play the game on Monday or Tuesday, with the latter being the “more likely” option, according to Schefter. In addition, 16 members of the Titans have now tested positive.

We made it almost a month before the pandemic disrupted the NFL season. Sunday’s scheduled matchup between the 3-0 Pittsburgh Steelers and 3-0 Tennessee Titans has been postponed due to multiple positive tests among Tennessee players and staffers. The chain of events began last week, when Titans linebackers coach-slash-defensive coordinator Shane Bowen entered COVID-19 protocols and did

NFL is willing to put teams in hotels for the rest of the season; will the NFLPA agree?

Events of recent days make it more and more clear that the best way (perhaps the only way) to get all 256 regular-season and 13 postseason games played this year will be to put all teams in hotels, immediately.

Per multiple sources, the NFL gladly would do that. The question is whether the NFL Players Association would agree to it.

As one source explained it to PFT, the NFLPA balked during July negotiations at a Thursday-to-Sunday team-by-team bubble. The union likely would balk at a continuous bubble for the balance of the season.

The players may feel differently. Faced with game checks that will be lost for good if games are cancelled, staying in a hotel for the next three months seems to be an acceptable sacrifice. The NBA is doing it. The NHL has done it. If the NFL wants to have a full and complete season, the NFL

‘ABC Travel Green Book’ aims to redefine Black tourism in a modern way

Wanderluster Martinique Lewis has achieved a holy grail of sorts: She turned her passion for travel into a full-blown career.

Lewis, who works as a content creator and diversity consultant, noticed a lack of diversity in the travel industry and grew determined to change the status quo. Travel publications and companies weren’t doing enough to appeal to African American tourists, Lewis realized, and she knew she had a problem worth solving.

Tahoe ski resort reverses parking policy after legal fights

RENO, Nev. (AP) — Free parking, as precious to some skiers as virgin mountain powder, has returned to one Lake Tahoe resort but not before its corporate owner waged an expensive year-long legal battle with two season-pass holders.

An 80-year-old attorney and another man whose first job out of college was parking cars at the mountain now owned by Vail Resorts filed separate lawsuits when Northstar California replaced traditional free parking with $20 daily fees ($40 weekends) — after they’d purchased their passes.

Unlike visitors from San Francisco who spend the weekend skiing, locals like attorney Steven Kroll and Robert Grossman make a few quick runs in the morning then jump in their nearby cars to head for work.

Both navigated the steep slopes that way for decades. They never imagined the uphill battle they’d face when they learned months after they’d renewed their passes for 2019-20 it would cost
